Our prototyping services
The production of prototypes from the later series material is a central component of our development process. It makes it possible to make realistic statements about later product performance at an early stage of the project. Especially in the medtech environment, where biocompatibility, sterilizability and mechanical resilience are crucial, this approach provides enormous added value.
Our many years of experience with plastics and silicones allow us to evaluate even complex material combinations and multi-component solutions at an early stage. In this way, we create the basis for a safe, functional and economically optimized product design.
3D printing is an indispensable tool in the early phase of product development. With the help of additive manufacturing processes, we produce initial sample parts within a very short time - ideal for design reviews, functional tests or customer presentations.
This technology makes it possible to realize complex geometries without tooling costs and to iteratively refine design ideas. Thanks to the rapid availability of prototypes, we can make decisions together with our customers at an early stage, which has a positive impact on subsequent manufacturability and product quality.
We also use 3D printing to produce fixtures, brackets or test setups that are used in our development process.
When it comes to near-series prototypes and the project framework conditions allow, we rely on the production of special prototype tools, optionally made of aluminum or steel, depending on the requirements and quantity. With this equipment, it is possible to injection mold under realistic conditions and thus gain important insights into dimensional accuracy, cycle time, demoldability and process capability.
Thanks to our close integration of development, toolmaking and production, we can implement changes quickly and design the prototype phase efficiently - a decisive advantage for our customers who rely on short time-to-market times.
Our in-house prototype construction is an integral part of our development process and enables us to react flexibly, quickly and precisely to customer requirements. Whether initial product designs or functional samples, we manufacture with the utmost care and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Thanks to the direct connection to our development department, we can implement changes at short notice and incorporate new findings directly into prototype production. This reduces iteration cycles, minimizes risks and creates trust - both internally and with our customers.
Our prototypes are produced in a documented manner and can also be tested under series production conditions on request. In this way, we create a reliable basis for the subsequent industrialization and successful approval of the product.
With our own toolshop, we have full control over quality, precision and adherence to deadlines - from the initial idea to series production. Our experienced toolmakers work closely with the development, production engineering and industrialization departments to tailor tools precisely to the requirements of the product and subsequent production.
Thanks to state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology, high-precision machining centers and extensive experience in the processing of medical plastics, we can also implement complex tool concepts - including multi-component and overmoulding solutions. A particular advantage: changes and optimizations can be implemented quickly and efficiently. This saves time, reduces costs and increases flexibility.
